Bruneau Sand Dunes

An hour south of Boise is a magical area called the Bruneau Sand Dunes. At 470ft tall, these dunes are said to be the tallest single-structure sand dunes in North American.

The view from the top is worth the struggle to get there and if you are lucky enough to have brought a sled, it is a ride to the bottom you will not soon forget.

Very nice. I enjoyed your site. I think that's refreshing to look at the dunes you visited and see them all most untouched. The sand dunes down in Oregon are used for Quading. We've met Troy there once. It's a 5 hour trip and a $300 gas bill for the motorhome but it was fun. We'll rent a motel or cabin next time. Our bodies can't take that much Quading, though. Troy has gone quite often but not lately. Other interests are taking up his time, now. I hope to see and hear more from you more often.
